14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
The Lord is preparing for all of us to be showered with many blessings this week. Look for them and receive them! Keep your eyes lifted to HIM! As I searched for strength for my heart, God led me to the scripture above and it brought me such comfort. All we have to do is ask God to strengthen us and HE will! Most importantly, we all must be better at waiting on HIS perfect will and HIS perfect timing. I speak blessings and peace over all of us. Don’t wait another second–Go to God and ask for his courage and his strength today! I love you and God loves you right where you are!
I’m ready for some BLESSINGS! After months of dealing with termite damage, I finally have some sheetrock back on my walls! Before covering up the walls, I made sure the bones of my home were intact, and that I had cleaned up the mess made by years of neglect and indifference. If only it were that easy to heal a broken marriage, and if only we could be propelled into action when we see a warning sign in our relationship like we are when we see a single termite! Cover your marriage with the same protection you would your home. It cost $1100 to treat my home for termites and give it yearly protection for $200. My marriage is worth more than that to me, but the termites got more attention than my marriage did. If I could go back and be proactive instead of inactive and complacent, I would spend more time caulking the cracks in my marriage to keep out the intruders that invaded our relationship.
When I begin to paint, I will paint with intention! I will pray with each brush stroke that my home is being covered with prayer and for a total rebirth and newness in my life and home that only God can give. But just for today, I can say that having sheetrock back on the walls in my home is a BLESSING, and I feel it! What a journey this has been Laine, and it’s been good to share it with you.
Although the blog was written in September 2010, I just read it today, March 2011. This is actually my first visit to this website. I needed to read these words today because we have been trying to sell a house in another city for 3 years and the second contract on it fell through yesterday. Then today I needed to contact one of our clients to make an appointment with her and both phone numbers I had for her were no longer in service. Within 5 minutes of my last attempt to contact her my phone rang and it was her ‘just calling to say hello.’ The LORD used this to remind me that He is in control, His timing is perfect and He will provide a buyer for our house – no need for me to worry and fret. God is SOOOOO good!
